By train

The railway between Nässjö-Hultsfred-Oskarshamn connects all of the county’s main cities.

With the X2000 train you can quickly reach Stockholm or Malmö-Kastrup-Köpenhamn from the railway hub of Nässjö, which is only about 20km west of Eksjö. From Nässjö, there are several direct trains to Gothenburg, as well as good connections to Jönköping-Falköping-Skövde, Vetlanda-Åseda, Vaggeryd-Värnamo-Halmstad and Tranås-Linköping-Norrköping.
