Bicycle touring in the Highlands of Småland is an exiting experience for those seeking wilderness-like nature and a landscape of small farmed fields that show clear traces of smålandish stubbornness. Here the stone mounds and walls testify to the farming difficulties experienced in earlier centuries. You can feel the history while at the same time be captivated by the beautiful scenery.

"Höglandstrampen"
is 350 kilometres long and extends through Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö and Vetlanda Municipalities. The bike trail can be done in stages and is marked at all road crossings, the trail is sparsely marked in the town centres. "Bicycle riding in the Highlands of Småland" is a map with descriptions; which you can get at the tourist office.

Hilly asphalt and gravel path throuh beutiful beech wood, deep troll forest and genuine Småland environment. Visit Skurugata Gorge and Hult with the old homestead museum of Engströmsgården, Ljusboden candle shop and a countryshop.

Långanäs Cycling Route
Distance: 20 km
Time: 1,5 h
Start: Eksjö
Pleasant path in easy terrain on asphalt, gravel and small forest roads. The path passes a big grave field and Lake Långanäs with a nice swiming area and café.

Eksjö-Nässjö Cycling Route
Distance: 51 km
Time: 4 h
Start: Eksjö
Beautiful path through open landscape, leaves and coniferous forests. Sights include Norra Solberga Church and the wide stone fences in Snarebo. The path passes a swimming area and Lövhult Recreation Area.

Paradise cycling route
Distance: 46 km
Time: 4 h
Start: Eksjö town centre
Ride through Smålandish nature and a varied landscape. You can stop at FOBOs organic garden, Höreda church and Kulla chapel. A café and a country shop are just a stone's throw from the route.

Start: Eksjö town centre
Ride through beautiful nature and cultural landscape with bathing opportunities. You can stop to visit the Ljusboden candle shop, Engströmsgården in Hult and finish with the Sweets' workshop in Mariannelund.
